MASTER PROGRAM AT MIPT: “CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES.”

At the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Scientific and Technical Center for Environmental Monitoring and Ecology, the Department of Climate Technologies has been opened with a master’s program.
The head of the department is Anna Anatolyevna Romanovskaya, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Director of the Institute of Global Climate and Ecology named after Academician Yu.A. Israel.

The Climate Technologies program is aimed at training personnel for high-tech manufacturing industries that are interested in accurately assessing the carbon footprint of their products and minimizing environmental damage, as well as promoting their activities on the ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) agenda. corporate governance).

It is planned to train scientists who will model climate processes and create innovative equipment for measuring the flows and concentrations of climate-active substances; specialists in economics and production organization.

The program is interdisciplinary in nature. The courses taught cover a fairly wide range of disciplines:
– fundamental disciplines focused on knowledge in the field of physics and mathematics;
– engineering disciplines;
– economic and organizational disciplines related to the carbon agenda.

Applications to the Department of Climate Technologies at MIPT are open until July 27, 2022. Bachelor’s degree graduates are invited to the master’s program. They face 3 entrance tests – mathematics, physics and an interview in their specialty.
